Located in Asia's melting pot, Hong Kong, HKU is one of the most prestigous universities in the region, making it Asia's Columbia. Founded in 1911, HKU is known for its popularity with international students. Annual tuition is about $16,800. Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925), the founding president of the Republic of China, graduated from Hong Kong College of Medicine for Chinese, the predecessor of HKU.
